Hello there!
My name is Mindy and I am a certified Enneagram educator and coach. I have been studying the Enneagram for over 15 years with some of the best teachers in the industry, including: Russ Hudson, Beatrice Chestnut, Uranio Paes, and Suzanne Stabile. I am excited to now share what I have learned with all of you.
People often ask me if discovering their Enneagram Type will put them in a box and my answer is always the same; the Enneagram helps people get out of the box and away from the patterns that put them there. The Enneagram allows us to live more fulfilling lives and it better connects us to those we are closest to. I believe in the value of living up to our full potential and the Enneagram gives us the tools to make that possible. It helps us discover pieces of ourselves that we didn’t know existed and it strengthens the ways in which we interact with others. Congratulations on taking the first step to becoming the best version of yourself and thank you for embarking on your journey of the Enneagram with me.
How the Enneagram Impacted Me
I’ve been repeating the same patterns for as long as I can remember; push harder, do more, and never ask for help! I put expectations on myself, that for most people, are not humanly possible, completely ignoring any signs of exhaustion or injury. I strive for bigger, better, and more in everything I do. This was my pattern until my body said, “No More”, collapsing from heart failure at the age of 39. Even though all the signs were there, I ignored them, as not to look weak. This was a pivotal moment for me and it was when my passion for the Enneagram began to take center stage.
Discovering what was behind my intense drive for life, which as an Enneagram Type Eight is lust, is when I was finally able to understand myself. With the passion of lust, I have an all consuming drive for excess in everything I do. And underneath that lust is the core fear of looking weak or vulnerable. With this awareness and a word to attach to it, I can now observe my emotional patterns, mindset and behaviors with new insight. I can now embrace vulnerability and set healthy limitations with myself. I can return to my innocence, actually asking for help, without feeling weak by doing so. This knowledge has made a huge difference for me in how I work, communicate, love, and parent.
This is the power of the Enneagram.
